As members of ACID (Anti Copying In Design) we take the issue of Intellectual property (IP) seriously.
ACID actively protect the interests of their members and assist them in pursuing cases of IP infringement.
There have been 172 successful settlements on behalf of ACID’s members; only three have reached a final Court hearing.
Nearly 1.5 million pounds has been achieved in settlements and damages for ACID members by its associate lawyers, Berwin Leighton Paisner.
The ACID brand has become a powerful voice within the design community - a voice the organisation intends to be heard across boardrooms where directors would be appalled if anyone accused them of the theft of their colleague’s watch or wallet but still think it’s OK to steal ideas and products.
The bottom line is theft is theft whether it’s a thing or an idea.
